Dolpo is a region in the western part of Nepal, west of
the Kali Gandaki valley and the Dhaulagiri Range.
It is roughly divided into Lower and Upper (Inner) Dolpo,
respectively south and north of the Kanjiroba Range.
It is one of the most remotest parts of Nepal,
with distinctive Tibetan culture, especially
in Upper Dolpo.
Until 1989 Dolpo was off-limits for tourists.
